Hi guys, my name is Axel Encalada-Arce, I started this whole photography journey on a
whim. I bought my first camera in 2018 during Black Friday, and it was a Nikon D3500 DSLR.
Initially, I started taking pictures as a hobby at family events and as I was traveling to different places.
I ended up traveling to a powerlifting meet in Houston where I had the oportunity to take action shots of people lifting weights at a competitive event. After reviewing the photos I took at the meet, I was happy with how the pictures turned out, but I knew they could be better.
I reflected on this experience and started to learn how to take photos manually which
included learning how to adjust shutter speed, ISO, and aperture and figuring out how they all work together.
After I maxed out the potential on my Nikon, I decided to invest in a Sony A7 IV. With the Sony A7 came challenges beause it's mirrorless camera is much more powerful
than the Nikon's DSLR camera. Eventually, I was able to get more comfortable with my Sony camera, and it has allowed me to get clearer images in a variety of settings. I began to take photos
for free to gain more experience and build my clientele. Now, I try to take photos whenever I get the opportunity. I am now open to accept new clients and am available for a variety of photoshoot gigs.
Check out my Home page for my recent work and booking information. I look forward to working with you guys! :)
